Don't you think it's stupid to destroy terrorists' camps and their financial resources but to foster hatred against Americans at the same time? When Bush went to fight against terrorism he didn't listen to anybody about how to do that. Didn't he contribute to this hatred of America? He surely did.
Some people believe we have enough resources to destroy terrorists. But they have resources too. They have actually the same resources as we have and even more than those because they use our civilian planes against us. So our resources don't help, they make the situation worse, because terrorists can buy our weapons. They even use our oil dollars to fight against us. Even Al Qaeda, once our “weapon” against soviets, turned against us.
If we're going to keep nourishing the hatred against us, our resources will work against us. So we should understand why they hate us. One of the answers - we don't listen anybody, we like to be right, we like to show them that we can do whatever we want to. That's the source of our problems.
The difference between terrorists and civilized people that hate us is in the form of their protest. They have something in common – they hate us. Stupid Bush makes a conclusion that they act together. But it’s us who separates civilized people from us: we separate them from us when we say them in the form of ultimatum that we’re going to do whatever we want.
Stupid Bush says that Kerry didn’t vote for super-airplanes that can smash the entire world at once. But what the hell are you going to do with these planes? Can they save civilians? And I’ll tell you what’s going to happen after we make these planes: some countries will make the same planes and sell them to terrorists one day like they’re trying to sell nuclear materials and technologies.
The fastest way to “defeat” terrorism is to cure our own deafness – we don’t ignore terrorists but we keep ignoring other people’s arguments. We cannot ignore terrorists because they hurt us, but it’s so easy to ignore others, because we always prefer to be right and proud of ourselves.
So, the idea is simple: deafness and righteousness turn our strengths into our weaknesses. Or in other words we must look at the problem with terrorism as an internal challenge. The world has changed, and to survive we have to replace old cold war concepts by new ones. Otherwise we can become extinct like huge stiff clumsy dinosaurs.
BTW it's very indicative that Bush ignores ecological problems: most theories say that dinosaur extinction has ecological origins. Also it's very indicative that Bush is supported by oil companies: oil comes from billion year old organic materials.
