Just Watch Out For Sy Parrish

After posting a comment on the post "Forgot to sign out," which was actually made by Urban Faery (for those of you who didn't quite grasp the title), I've decided to let Joeuser in on a little secret.

If you don't quite understand what I say sometimes, don't worry! My best friend of 13 years still doesn't have a clue what I'm talking about at times, and even Urban is sometime lost in some of my back alley references. I love to play the game Six Degrees before I go to bed, but I normally end up staying up later because I try to find a challenge. I don't play the six steps or less. It has to be done in 6, no more, no less. A good one that I like to give to people is Al Pacino and Shannon Elizabeth.

If you've ever seen an episode of "Dream On," then you'll understand the main function of my brain. Almost every 15 seconds I hear a quote or see an image that reminds me of a movie. Sometimes I blurt out the reference, but mostly, I keep it in my head. On the "Forgot to sign out" article, the situation reminded me of Jurassic Park. I'm sure some of you out there are already going, "Right, Fuckin Raptor thing." For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about. Go watch it. Wait til the raptors escape, and the hunter goes into the forest with the rifle. It happens right before he dies. RIGHT.....before he dies.

My mind is a random little box that can inhabit thoughts about the Rolling Stones, Denzel Washington and the Sears Drama Festival, and greasy hamburgers, and count all of that as one thought. They are all linked with the movie "Fallen." Denzel stars, they sing the Stones song "Time Is On My Side," co-star Sutherland is synonymous with Sears at Hart House, and co-star John Goodman reminds me of greasy hamburgers. I also have the name Azrael flash through my head, but if I mentioned that then "My God" that would just be too damn obvious.

I once took a tape recorder around with me and decided to record every movie related thought that I had in one day, and also to include anything that made me think of a certain movie, and if I quoted anything without really knowing. After reviewing the three hour tape, I found that there were at least 100 movie related comments in total, and those were only the end results. Tonight, if I saw Nick Cage on the news, it would remind me of Superman, because he was supposed to play the lead for the upcoming movie, which leads me to think how good Christopher Reeve was and then BAM!!! Richard Pryor pops in my head. It's a twisted world.

I promise that at least one point this week. I'm going to make a stream of conscious post just so I can see what crap comes out. But I'm afraid I won't be able to type as fast as the hamster.

(The hamster that's running around in the wheel that powers my mind and makes things tick.)

i experience the same phenomena on a daily basis, but it's song long lyrics more often than movies. (movies do come up a lot though)

this is a great post, and got an insightful... i don't give those too often, cause i'm stingy with 'em

looking forward to the stream of consciousness article... it oughta be interesting. if you don't think you can type as fast as the hamster runs, maybe you can record into the tape recorder and then transcribe...

ive tried the tape recorder, but i still seem to lost alot when I speak into it. Not only do I have my mind to compete with but sometimes my voice will come out in a funny way that reminds me of another voice.

I have many recordings where I just ramble, but I'm mostly drunk or high, so it doesn't really matter.
