In the last few days the folks at Blog Mad were bitten by a database corruption bug that wiped out much of the data relating to the activities of Blog Mad members for the last several weeks. In doing so many members saw their rankings at Blog Mad wiped out, and saw their credits gone as well.
The fine folks at Blog Mad announced the problem as soon as they saw it, and made their customer service e-mail address available right from their home page. While others talk the talk, the Blog mad folks walk the walk. E-mails sent to customer service were dealt with very quickly, missing ranks were restored, and credits were again back in the account for customers -- based entirely on what customers told the customer service folks. In other words there was no demand for proof, no 'we'll check our records', no other run around. Just credit and adjustment to get things back to where they should be.
Sure, there were still some losses along the way, but the big things were fixed, and customers were able to pick up pretty much where they left off.
It's not often you find companies that do it right. Blog Mad is one of them. JoeUser members know that Stardock is another of them. There are still some out there, and the ones that are out there deserve our business, our support, and our thanks.
Thanks folks!
