For those that don't know, the Darwin Awards are a list of awards that are given out when some ensures the survival of the species by permanently removing themselves from the gene pool in a rather unique, nonsensical and stupid way. Reproduction
Out of the gene pool: dead or sterile.
Excellence
Astounding misapplication of judgment.
Self-Selection
Cause one's own demise.
Maturity
Capable of sound judgment.
Veracity
The event must be true.
Oh, and Urban Legends don't qualify (due to the Veracity clause, usually).
Some of these enries are funny (like the one linked below) and others are just ... OMG How can he be that stupid (Like the guy who jacked up an RV and used batteries instead of ramps and wondered why they collapsed and the vehicle crushed him?).
