Well yes, finally after all these years of messing around behind a wheel i'm actually learning to drive the proper way. And it is BLOODY EXPENSIVE heh.
I'm paying for a package of the code and 20 hours of driving lessons. It's costing me around $600 American dollars. I dont know how much you pay anywhere else, but for me it's expensive and as a result I'm paying in three times. And it's actually a promotional rate, like they do with old canned food, lol!
I went to my first lesson. I dont get to drive yet. I have to learn the "code de la route" as they call it. Which includes the priorities on the road, the signs etc. To pass the exam i have to pay another $35.00 to be signed up. And on the day of the exam they'll ask me 40 questions and if I answer 4 questions (or more) wrong, i have to try again and pay the signing up fee again. Well actually it's not a fee, I have to buy these special stamps that cost $35.00 all together. It's the same anyway. Bureaucrats just like to make you run around and waste time...
I dont know how long it'll take before all the data is inserted in my little brain, but i hope i pass all the tests before the end of the year. It has been on my list for too long now and even my cousin who's *gasp* 17 has a her driving license!!!! Shame on me.... I needed that kick in the butt to get me going.
