Has decided its time to redecorate "KAT-LAND"!
Now follow me on this one.
When we decided to move into the same place and make it a home I was informed that my tastes basically... suck. By the following...
Well all the daughters and the new wife. (ages 29... again, 21 (oldest daughter), 14 (middle daughter), 8 (youngest daughter)).
So I agreed that they could tell me where to hang the stuff, place the stuff etc etc etc... except... KAT LAND! I am well old compared to some, young compared to others, if I was a real cat I would still be chasing mice though, although I admit I would rather be sunning first.
So anyways I put up the standard "I LUV ME" wall that most military folk that were in for life like to have. Shadow Box, CPO Book, CPO Creed, Ships Wheel, Presidential Citation, 7 Command plaques (5 sea going, 2 shore side) as well as an old iron pair of P&S running lights at the top of the "French Doors" I have my 6 shelf book cabinet that I stained from the good woood shop and an old dresser I salvaged when I seen this fellah about to chuck it at the dump that is solid and large enough to put a 45 gallon aquarium on (which coincidentally holds the rest of my military stuff including all the mostly worthless money from the 40 or so countries I have been to.)
Now the book shelf is overcrowded with books, I will accept that this is my fault, just ask the females, they will tell you it has nothing to do with all of the other non-fantasy, non-science fiction, non-fish, non-military history books that adorn all of the shelves. The old dinner chairs that the "Keeper of the Faith" decided needed to be kept, the old "not even sure what the hell it is cabinet that sets between the old dinner chairs that has this hideous candle with glass beads strewn about around it on it.
So should I let her? Re-decorate of course. You know I kinda like it. If I close the blinds, shut off the lights and turn on the running lights its almost like a little piece of running silent on the surface. If I try to comprimise and tell her, okay you can have the plaque wall as an accent wall you know its only a matter of time until she absconds with the ships wheel wall, than the I LUV ME wall followed closely by removing my antique running lights.
