I once had a planet with 4 factories, one on a 700% and a manufacturing capital... it was churning out dreadnaughts in 4 turns. Cost billions to keep it operating at full capacity though.

But Astax, this could be useful. A PQ+17 with a bonus of about 300+ on a front line is useful, and if it's a core world then you make it very hard for the AI to conquer you, you can move quicker than they can with hige numbers of ships . My best planet (sorry to beat you) was a 21 with a grand total of 1000% bonus (one 700 one 300) for manufacturing. Cost loads of money to keep, but it was worth it to build an entire fleet of large hull ships in 5 turns. But it doesn't count, because it was a custom race and I had fiddled with the PQ number, probably wouldn't have had either of them otherwise.

Don't forget the farms! moneymoneyomoney makes the galaxy go... flat.

Yes, don't build a manufacturing capital on that square as it has no effect. Capital improves the overall manufacturing rate of the whole planet, but it doesn't do any manufacturing itself.

And spacetimer, I didn't use terraforming etc, I changed the files in the game, so I started with a class 21 homeworld (The Thala get it, why not me?)

thanks for notice that, the reality, it is not a typo. I used "bride" for a simple reason, eventhough, the AI wasn't cheating, but we can't ignore that the fact that AI is part of the system, and that make them like one freaking family or something, thanks to point that out!. (in that game, most of the best pq planets are in a large system which away from my system, and my system is smaller, and comparable less pq to that giant system. And I believe my system is also less factor improvement compare their's as well. In that specific game is the only game I ever played encountered a significantly unbalanced of resource and decrease my chances of early invasion to energy territories.)

I go back and forth on whether to build a Manufacturing Capital on a Precursor Mine (700% manu bonus) planet. I keep running out of tiles to build Galactic Achievements on. If you have another 300% planet lying around, it's nice to put your Manu capital there and have two planets churning out Galactic Achievements. But when you get to the high tech levels, though, it sure is nice having that 700% capital really churning out stuff. And you can always focus production on research and get some nice research out of it, or focus on military to let some steam off of your limited planet tiles.

i had a planet of class 26 without upgrading: everything abundant, loose clusters and gigantic galaxy.

Best I've had is some class 26 planet that I took from the Dark Yor. Turned it into an economy planet, with the economy capital and the evil mind control center galactic achievement. By the end of the game, I was getting 1000BC surplus every turn, despite having 100% moral and production capacity at 100%.

Sorry, but I think I got you all beat. It seems that the one ability point that I spent on luck really paid off this time. My homeworld = PQ12 (I spent the 8 points on maximizing PQ) + 700 manufacturing tile + 300 manufacturing tile + 300 research tile + 2 x 300 food tiles + 3 x 100 food tiles. I almost started to cry... almost. Okay I did.

No, the money always starts to roll in after I get a economy dedicated planet.

I never really have a 'war effort', its more like the enemy deciding to attack me because I have a militry rating of 0, and me just buying some large ships with 50 beam, 20 shield while the best thing my opponents have are ships with 5 beam, 1 shield. Those large ships didn't need replacing, they just wiped all enemy ships in the rest of the galaxy.

Never heard of evar.But Its part of uneducated english thats for sure.But then again it could be a spelling error.
