Where did all the minor civs go?

Before the 1.0X patch I had many minor civs in all my games. Now I am lucky if I get one minor civ per game. Most of the time there are none.

What gives!?

They added a lot of character to the game and now that they are all gone there is something missing. Bring them back!

I had 5 or 6 in my last game.... but you are right, they do appear less frequently at the start of a game since the 1.0x patch.

ive also got this trend going on where only 1, yes u read right only 1!! minor race ever comes along, thats ok with me cuz the enemy is certain to conquer them if their too close for confort. Although i really would like more on the game so i can at least trade my techs to them for money, take some advantage over the other if only for a short period of time, but man only 1, isnt that a little strange??!!.
