Greetings,

I am at about my 20th game and there is a pattern developping that, for me, really begins to ruin the game.

Here is what happened to my last game:
Game difficulty: The hardest
Number of opponents: maximum (all the races)
Galaxy size: Medium
My race: Terran with max diplomacy, luck, moral and research bonuses. Technologists, never alligned to evil or good.
Disabled influence victory

I decided to play the nice guy up to the middle of the game: trading techs, expanding my techs and trading with most of the races. At that moment, I got 3 allies and only one race (Drengin) was just a little bit under neutral. No warships, just a few economics and military bases near my planets.

Then I decided to invade the 5 Drengin planets. I built transports and a few attack ships. Nothing impressive. After the first planet taken, the Drengins decided to surrender to the Yor collective. Doh!

ok...ok... A few turns later, I decide to invade the Drath legion and its 8 planets. That time too, I take one planet and the next turn I take a second planet. The drath legion decides to surrender to the surrender to the Arceans, one of my allies. DOH!!!!

A few turns later, one of my closest allie, with whom I helped in his war by giving techs, money and a few ships decides to surrender to the Dominion of Korx. That stupid leader says they give them a better deal!!!! DOH DOH DOH!

After a while, the game is at Me, one allie and one friendly race. I am at the highest form of government. My allie is at war with the friendly race. I decide to expedite the game and invade the friendly race. DOH DOH DOH!!! Each time I want to invade, the vote is against me. I quit the concil, I change my goverment to the lowest one. This need to vote and I still can't invade. ok...ok...ok... I research the highest farm, play about 50 DUMB turns, just upgrading my farms, then try again to invade and I still get that stupid vote window, but I can finally invade.

After the first planet, that stupid race surrender to my allie and voila!!!! The game is done because it is an allie victory. DOH!!!!

Why is that?
Will they fix it?
Don't take me wrong, They did a great job with the starships, races, graphics, play interface. But the game is sold on the wonderful AI. (Personnally, I found SEIV AI harder to beat. It took me a good 3 months to secure each victory at the highest level, and with this one, I did it in 4 days)
