So I just started a new game and both of the minor civs that ive come into contact with have Beam Weapon Theory. They wont trade me this tech..saying that their advisors say not to give it to me.

here is the problem... every computer opponent im playing against just happens to have Beam Weapon Theory.. coincidence? or are the minor races prejudiced against me?

Wouldnt seem real fair for the comp to get the techs from the minor races that Im not allowed to trade for.



Incidentally.. in my old game I was researching like Harpoon IV and building Large Hull Ships.. and the minor races wouldnt trade me Miniballs 1 for this same reason. Kinda seems silly to me... Im orbiting around their planet with my fleet of Large 20 attack battlecruisers.. and they are afraid to sell me the technology to use a 17 space, 1 damage tech..for fear that it will make me too powerful.
