First off, congrats to the team. Great game, and way better tested and balanced than most large-budget games.
The game was extremely stable for me, only two crash bugs during two long sessions. One of them was fixed in the patch according to release notes, the other - well, it seemed to be save related but can't be sure. (these reports below all refer to the original version)
Here goes:
- I could often move fleets their max amount, separate one ship from the fleet, and move the rest of the ship again max moves. There's something very fishy going on with the fleet v.s. single ship movements.
- Can't upgrade ships on planet orbit, or in fleets, or in spaces that have other ships in them. This may be by design, but I would consider it very bad desing.
- I had just eliminated a race, had 5 races left, the round marker in foreign policy->treaties was off the first time viewed. When the speak to race was changed, situation fixed itself. So very minor issue.
There are some minor gripes/improvement ideas that probably don't belong to this forum but anyhow:
- Planetary economy improvements are terribly expensive to build, somehow got the feel they were not perfectly balanced with others.
- Fleet defense on planets; I think this should be on by default. Structures could give more logistics ability for defending planets. Currently it's completely useless to keep ships on planets; better face enemy fleets in space with your own fleet.
Thanks for a great game!
