Bug: Starbase upgrade to help ship defenses don't show up when clicked on a ship

As you can understand from the title, when you build any of the modules that help ships in range (for attack or defence), should one be able to see the effects on the ship? I think yes because when you hover the mouse over the statistics of the ship, it show starbase bonus. If this is true then there is a bug since even though i have the starbase modules, my ships don't get their stats adjusted. Below are 2 screenshots to show this:

There have been several posts about this, including one with 20 posts in it just a little further down the page.

The Starbase bonus will only improve ships that have an attack of defense. Your example shows a starbase with a ship defense bonus of 10%, and no ship bonus on attack. Your defender has a defense rating of zero, so there is nothing to give a bonus to.
