Mmkay. Dread Lords Campaign.

Won't ruin the plotline for anyone, but suffice it to say, at the end of the day, I was more than a little frustrated. I'd expected a bit more bang for my buck, with as much work and toil as it took to best the campaign. No new campaign branching off from it?

Well, really the campaign in GC1:AP was just gravy on the game and I kind of expected the same from GC2. Why don't you go back and play a few non-campaign scenareos?

You finished the campaign? Do you have a life? Maybe try playing it at a higher difficulty level?

I haven't been to bed yet since yesterday, so yes, I've finished it. Expected to at least be able to play the Dread Lords in new games, afterwards. Sniff.

The campaign, in my view, is frosting on the cake. Some people like just the frosting, but most people are there for the cake. I, for one, will play the campaign because of curiousity, but most of games will be on Large maps in the sandbox mode.

He finished off the Dread Lords in under 24 hours but I, Mascrinthus (the last remaining good Mithrilar) was secretly helping him defeat the Dark Mithrilar, Draginol.

But seriously what difficulting level are you playing? I'm still on the first part of the campain because I did not get to start until very late last night so only got up to May 2226. However, at difficulty level Tough which means the AI is playing at level Intelligent (best analysis but no cheating bonuses), I'm way ahead of the Drengin.

I played several of the missions at Normal, but took it back to Cakewalk to blow through it more quickly.

And you whine? Sheesh, at least take a challenge and enjoy the experience! Plot has little enough to do with RTS/TBS games, it's gameplay and replayability that is the key.

I personally engine a deep and engaging story for my TBS and RTS. For example, C&C. That got me hooked on PC games (although I played many prior) in the first place due to its interesting story as well as the story-telling method.

The story is marvelous in the campaign. I don't knock that one ounce. I just found things a little ... anticlimactic.

Perhaps you should come here and play the campaign. You could finish it again, so I can see the story lines. I am not interested in the campaign, just the story lines behind it.
