Steps to reproduce:
- Open Display Properties dialog.
- Click on the WindowBlinds button.
- Display Properties dialog crashes as WB5 opens successfully.
- "The instruction at "0x6902360c" referenced memory as "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written"" rundll32.exe
Problem only happens if one or both of the following are true:
- WinFX is set to display shadows under windows (there are no other FX active on my machine).
- WinFX is disabled but the current theme has shadows.
Workaround:
Do not launch WB from Display Properties when shadow is on, or simply ignore error and continue (which seems to be OK, no futher ill effects, but ugly and an extra click of course). Otherwise, launch WB from application shortcut (not as convenient, but it works).
