Does Stardock know whats going on??

I will just say I have an email from sales@stardock.net that says I cant download the game til the 21st??? I understand we wont get the exe's and neccessary dll's, but I was under the impression that we would have the chance to download the bulk of it starting today as I pre-ordered? Sorry if I missed some info changing someplace.

Answer: "Of course they do!"

Now to help you out, did you get a serial # or temporary serial # in that there email ?? That's what you need to put in the latest build of Stardock Central (SDC) to get it start downloading.

You can download the game if you have the temporary serial number, you will not be able to play it do, until the 21st when you finish downloading a small pack that will include all the dll and exe needed to play the game.

In case anyone is worried by this post, I'll mention that as a regular, non-beta, preorder customer, I received my order e-mail, withe Serial #, a few minutes ago, and have the preload underway as I type this.

I'm curious about something- you said it was a 2 CD game, but the download is only 135MB.

Unless the small pack is at least 5 times the size of the regular, how is this a 2 CD game?

Including Videos, Media and Tutorials the game is just over 1GB large. 135MB is just the game code.

LOL.. I saw the name of this post and surely thought it was a joke from the dev team... They said they were going to create a post named almost exactly the same as this one as a lark! Sorry you are having problems but I just wanted to chime in with the wierd coincidence.

Pre-download e-mail arrived. Pre-download went off without a problem. 1,023KB/s for the first files. 300KB/s average for the next three folders. 1.08 GB total. I'm sorry I can't report any problems. Maybe on release day. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Over here at the office we're all sharing a 3 megabit connection. It's painful.

Ouch, man. Even my home connection is faster than that (although nowhere near RichVR's, I suspect). You have my pity.

HOLY SHITBALLS BATMAN!!!

I got 1Mb from adelphia.net here in Puerto Rico and its going at 35-45 MAXIMUN , even if i cancel it and choose another server, same thing!!

OH WELL I guess it doesnt matter still 5 days and 3 hours and 17 mins for game release

I only managed 100kb/s from my 2mbps cable... Probably not too bad considering the distance...

Perhaps if i join the OVERMIND there will be bandwith perks?

Bah... try downloading it from Thailand!!!

Fluctuation from 2 (!) - 31k..... only 10% to go on the Movies file now though!!

I have Optimum Online in Brooklyn, NY. It's a 10 MB/s cable line. I believe that they recently upgraded the 10MB/s to 15 MB/s for free around here. I like them.
