I clicked on the link for Society for the first time. I hadn't check it out until now....and I rather wish I hadn't at all! MMO games generally don't appeal to me, but I think I might have finally found an exception to the rule. It's sort of like Mankind, except that it all takes place on a single world instead of in a galaxy of millions of star systems. Sort of like a persistent online RTS version of Civ, except more....personal, for lack of a better word. And now I have to wait almost a whole friggin year until *that* game comes out! Arrgh! Why must you torture me, Stardock??! Curse you!!!

By the way, I completely loved the turn-of-the-century ad for "Torian's Gal Civ". If it were made into a poster, I would seriously buy one and put it up on my wall.

Considering that I live just a few miles down the road; I am pretty sure that he means in the airconditioned/heated facility where they work. I can assure you that it is much colder than that outside. (Although it has been a pleasantly warm winter this year )

Martok: That "spoof-ad" was actually made by a GalCiv forum-goer a few years back. IIRC, he also did a series of GalCiv inspired comics (can't remember the users name unfortunatly). I'll try to dig it up!

That would be awesome, BoogieBac. I'm kind of disturbed I didn't notice any of that stuff before, though, as I've been lurking around the forums since at least 2003. Ah well, better late than never!
